Kevin De Bruyne can perform at a greater level, according to Pep Guardiola.
De Bruyne's sublime strike helped City defeat Chelsea, and Guardiola claimed that nothing he had accomplished in his six years at City would have been possible without him.
However, he said that the 30-year-performance old's was still 'not his best,' since he has been failing to match the standards he achieved last year.
'My role as a manager is to expect more,' Guardiola stated. I want to push him out of his comfort zone and convince him that he is capable of more.
‘I'd like to see more because I know he's capable.' I'd like Kevin to perform better in certain situations and games, and I'll have to demand it because I know he's capable of doing so.'
Guardiola also praised Joao Cancelo's mindset, saying that his pass setting up the Belgian's goal run reflected the way he had put behind him a horrible house burglary that left him with facial injuries.
The manager stated, 'They are human beings.' 'Personal business can make one feel a little sad at times. I also have personal matters to attend to.'
